Scope of the Project
What is the aim of the MAXMINDS project?
MAXMINDS 2.0 focuses on supporting underserved displaced scholars around the world.
MAXMINDS 2.0 is a program dedicated to supporting scholars who are in acute danger of displacement by war or were recently displaced by war or natural disasters. The program welcomes participants of all nationalities who face limited access to resources and institutional support.
This initiative offers a comprehensive range of support, including:
- Mentorship opportunities tailored to individual needs.
- Internships designed to enhance skills and experience.
- Scholarships for Master’s and Doctoral students.
- Fellowships for postdoctoral researchers, mid-career, and senior scholars.
Building on the successful MAXMINDS 1.0 program, which was funded by the MPG Diversity Excellence Fund from August 2023 to August 2025, MAXMINDS 2.0 extends support to researchers affected by crises. Its predecessor focused on aiding students impacted by the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023, through mentorship and internships.
